Heavenly Father,

    We come before you with thanksgiving. We thank you for all that you have done and for what you are doing in our lives. Father, we thank you for faith. God, we thank you for hope. We thank you for love. May we be acceptable in love. May we love ourselves that we may love others because you say that we ought to,  “…..love our neighbor as our selves…..(Mark 12:31).” If we don’t love ourselves then we can’t love anyone. Thank you for your love towards us. We thank you, give you honor and praise. In Jesus name. Amen.

Whisteling Kettle

I love the way the kettle blows. It just doesn’t feel right if I don’t wait for its whistle to assure me that my water is ready. I hate lukewarm tea and with a passion. I just want to spit it out. What’s the point? I either want my tea piping hot of ice cold.  No in between. When I think of this, I’m reminded of the Bible verse that says,” I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other. But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out my mouth.”

I’m guilty of being lukewarm. Allowing people and stress to get the best of me.  Medicating problems with every and anything but God. Guilty! Yep. Me. Guilty. Those habits….
